Studio KIN Project Submission

A Los Angeles-based collaborative music and cultural infrastructure project bringing vocalists, musicians, and audiences together to create an original 10-song album through a live, communal recording process.

Project Overview

10 original compositions selected from a catalog of 21 demos, developed through collaborative interpretation
Live studio recording with a small invited audience (20–40 guests), integrating performance and process
Ensemble of approximately 24–32 vocalists and musicians contributing to a shared collaborative recording process
Multi-track audio recording and filmed live performances documenting real-time collaboration
Final outputs include a full-length album and visual documentation of the recording process

The Fade Project is a completed cultural-art release developed through Everyone. that combines original music, visual storytelling, and digital audience engagement. Built around the song “The Fade.” the project uses a recognizable cultural moment as a point of connection while presenting it through an original musical and visual interpretation.
The project included a completed song, a 30-second promotional visual, a full-length visual release, and a dedicated landing page where audiences can experience the work and connect with Everyone.
The Fade Project serves as a proof of concept for how Everyone. can move cultural work from creation to release while building an owned platform around it. It demonstrates the project’s ability to combine music, imagery, cultural storytelling, and audience development into a finished creative release that can continue circulating and gaining attention over time.

Jazz in the Library — Community & Place
A recurring participatory live-music program developed in Long Beach that brings musicians and community audiences together in an intimate, accessible environment. The series has helped establish the artist relationships, audience-engagement practices, and collaborative approach that now inform Everyone.405.
Ahmad DuBose-Dawson serves as the Music Production Coordinator, and will continue in the role of Music Production Director for the Everyone.405 project.

“Awkward Laugh” is the first released work from Everyone., available on all platforms, introducing the project’s foundation in collective sound, spontaneity, and experimentation.
This clip captures a studio recording session and the collaborative process between director, vocalists, producer, and engineer—reflecting how creation unfolds in real time. Rather than a fixed or isolated approach, the music develops through shared energy, interaction, and interpretation among the group.
Three additional tracks were released between 2022–2023 through a range of collaborative configurations, further establishing the foundation of the project’s evolving sound—defined as Sol Rock.

Lawrence Clinkscale III (LC) is an artist, producer, songwriter, and community organizer based in Los Angeles, and the creator of Everyone.—collaborative music centered on collective artistic creation.
His work explores how music can be developed through collective sound, and live interaction. Blending elements of soul, gospel, jazz, and funk, he is developing a distinct, collective sound defined as Sol Rock.
With over a decade of experience producing community-based music programming, including the Jazz in the Library series, his practice is grounded in creating accessible, collaborative environments for artists and audiences alike. His work bridges community engagement and contemporary music production, emphasizing process, participation, and the shared experience of creating music in real time.
Through Everyone., he is building an ongoing platform for collaborative recording and performance—expanding a growing catalog of released and in-progress work into a scalable model for collective music creation, while creating sustainable opportunities for artists to engage, contribute, and be supported through the process.
